Thankful Tuesday

Today I am SO very thankful for this little bundle of joy that will be joining our family in 10weeks or less!! We got to do our 4D Sonogram of our little Kinzy Klaire at last visit and it was so much fun! I always get so choked up when I have sonograms as it is just too amazing. Our God is SO SO good! She at first did not want to cooperate as she was facing towards my back, but I rolled from side to side a couple of times to get her to move around..and it worked! :) She never showed us her right side of her face but it was still good enough to where we could see what she looked like. She looks alot like her big sister Keely to me except maybe she has fuller lips! :) She was so precious to sit and watch move around for 15 minutes. She kept her little precious arm up by her face the entire time. We got a lot of other pictures of her little legs, her hair, her fingers, etc. which was so sweet. She was very active once we got her going!

We are getting so exciited about meeting our second little blessing! It has gone by so so fast this time it is crazy!! We worked in the nursery alot last night getting some things ready. Her bedding should be here this week sometime so I am so excited to get that all put together and start decorating!! Fun fun! I love to decorate and especially my sweet girls rooms!! The Lord knew what he was doing blessing me with girls...they are so much fun!! Anyways, I will definitely post pictures of the nursery once we get it completed. I think it will be cute!! :)

As far as our sweet Keely...the BIG sister...she is doing great!! She has transitioned so well to being a BIG girl!! She is sleeping in her big girl bed all night and even gets up from time to time on her own to go potty!! So precious she is!! In fact I hear my sweet girl getting up now, so gotta run and get her some breakfast!! Y'all have a terrific Tuesday and be blessed!! I sure am!!!!!

Sunday Funday

Keely & I had a day in together as I caught her awful head cold that she had last week. So we stayed in our pj's and watched tv, played, and ate all day long!! :)

We made brownies and Keely "icked" the bowl as she says...

Made a complete mess ;)

I failed to take a picture, but we had fabulous brownie a la modes!! So yummy!!

Needless to say...we had to take a bath afterwards and get on new pj's..!!

...and then ate again!!...this time.."Ogurt" (yogurt) as Keely calls it...

She is her daddy's child...LOVES fruit and yogurt!!

Then...

Keely and her naked baby had a cupcake party in the bathroom...:)

She then spyed on the boys outside playing basketball...

And to end our Sunday Funday...Daddy & Keely went to the Superbowl dinner together at church!

Mommy stayed home and enjoyed a long hot shower and quiet time to herself!! :)

Last night was Keely's 1st night in her big girl bed! :( I cannot believe it's time for this already, but with new baby sister coming we decided to go ahead with it and get her adjusted to it. She was SO excited about it and she picked out some new Minnie Mouse sheets to go on it!

We ordered her a safety rail for the side of it...She was asking "What is this daddy?"

How did she do???...Well when we first laid down she wanted her daddy to lay with her. Then about 10 minutes later she started crying for mommy to come lay with her. So I did...and when I got in there she decided she needed to go tee tee..so she went to tee tee and got back in bed and said she now needed to go poo poo! I think she was just trying to come up with an excuse of why she didn't need to stay in bed. Finally, I told her in my stern voice to come get in bed..it was night night time!! So she did and I ended up falling asleep with her. I woke up around midnight and went to my own bed as I do not want her to think Im gonna sleep with her in her bed every night. I think she slept just fine the rest of the night! :)

I just can't believe she is in a big girl bed now! I feel like last week we were transferring her from the bassinet to her crib for the very first time! :( Time flies too fast. She is truly turning into our big girl now. She is pretty much fully potty trained now and goes to potty all by herself, and now sleeping in her big girl bed!! I am so proud of her though and think she is gonna be a great BIG sister if we can just get past the jealousy part once she gets here. :)

Wow how time flies and I get SO behind on my blogging!! I could'nt possibly post EVERY single picture that has been taken over the last month, so I'm gonna post just a few here and there. As far as the Christmas pics go, all of the good ones are on Kevin's good camera and all of these that are posted here are from my phone. We had such a wonderful Christmas and as always were blessed beyond measure! Keely got SO MUCH STUFF it is unreal!! Lets just say Nonnie & Poppie along with all the other family spoiled her rotten!!! I'm pretty sure Keely, Riley, & Dylan opened about 20 presents each just from Nonnie & Poppie alone!! Keely had so much stuff she didnt know what to play with first! One blessed little girl she is!

Ok....So I'm gonna try to catch up here on my lack of blogging lately!! It will be brief, but get us back up to date!! :)

I'm gonna catch you up from most present to past!...

First of all...I turned the BIG 29 this weekend! It was such a great day as my family made it extra special for me and spoiled me rotten!! So thankful for my family!! <3

Here was my yummy birthday cake...

Today marks 21 weeks!!! Getting closer and closer!! :)

Keely's Christmas Tree..

She is gonna be SO much fun this Christmas as she understands more on what it's all about!!!

She LOVES her Christmas Tree and does NOT want you to turn it off,,EVER!!

Every year...My mom, sister, I go on a Black Friday Shopping trip somewhere for the weekend after Thanksgiving...and this year we went to Birmingham, AL to the Galleria and stayed at the Winfrey Hotel. We had o' so much fun and got alot of our shopping done while eating REALLY good in between! ;)

Riley and Keely both went with us this year, so it made it that much more busy and fun!! This year was Keely's first year of going with us on our annual shopping trip. Once we made her realize that "Santa Claus was watching" and she had to ride in the stroller every where we went...it went smoothly! She and Riley had so much fun together! They will always be close cousins!! :)

18 weeks

Today marks 18 weeks!! Almost halfway there!! I cannot believe how fast it is going! We go on Thursday of this week to find out BOY or GIRL...we are so excited!! :)

BIG Sister !!!

That's right...Keely is gonna be a BIG sister!! :)

I realized that I have shared the news with everyone...and have made it Facebook official...however, I have not made it Blog official!!! So sorry it's taken this long!! I just realized that i hadn't announced the great news on here yet!!

We are 17 weeks today! So almost half way there!! We will find out if it's another sweet little girl or a sweet little boy on November 17th. We can't wait to find out! :)

We are SO VERY THANKFUL for this sweet BLESSING!!!

Our little Keely was a PINK Poodle this year for Halloween!! We had so much fun! We went to 2 different Halloween festivals and then Halloween night we went Trick or Treating with some friends!

Pumpkin Carving Party

Last Thursday night we went to a FUN Pumpkin Carving Party that our friends, The Dunns host at their home annually. It was such a fun family night together! And it was not only Keely's 1st Pumpkin Carving experience, but it was also mine! That's right..I am 28 years old and have never carved a pumpkin!! haha

October 1st..Kevin turned the BIG 30!!! I had him a little surprise birthday party with family and friends at Mi Hacienda in Columbus. It was such a FUN night and I think Kevin was surprised indeed!! :) All the Mexicans were great and helped make the party even more fun! Kevin LOVES him some Mexican food! He would eat it 24/7 if he could! Anyways, here are a couple of pics from the night! :)

Keely's Build-A-Bear Experience

Labor Day Weekend...We went to spend the weekend in Memphis, TN with Nonna & Poppie! We all had such a great time and was able to hang out with Uncle Wayne & Aunt Cathy while we were there. :) We shopped and ate ALL weekend long, and then would go to hotel room and just lay around and be completely lazy! It really was a great weekend! I failed to take many pics while we were there, but Kevin did manage to take some cute pics of Keely's 1st Build-A-Bear Experience. It was sooooo precious & sweet!!

Well, my baby girl will be 2 on August 18th!!! :( Where O Where has the time gone?!?! Can't believe she is turning 2 already, but we had her birthday party Saturday and had SO much fun celebrating! Thank you to ALL of our sweet family and friends for celebrating our princess with us!!!

Her theme this year was PINKalicious!!!!

We had pink cake, pink cupcakes, pink chocolate covered pretzels, pink marshmallow pops, and pink sprinkled chocolate chip cookies!! And they were ALL so PINKalicious!! ;)

This past weekend Keely & I went to spend with Aunt Ney-Ney (my sister), and cousins Riley & Dylan! We of course got to see and spend time with Nonnie & Poppie, too!! ;)

ALOT of pop-cicle's were ate!! Dylan and Riley both are SO sweet and great about sharing their pop-cicles with Keely...

I am SO THANKFUL for this little girl...

I am SO THANKFUL I get to spend my Monday's & Tuesday's with her! I also am thankful for mornings like this morning where I didn't have to be at work until 12:00...so we were able to get ready for school and work and then play and spend a little time together.

She LOVES to brush her teeth!!

You LOVE shoes so much that about 98% of the time while we are at home, they are all you want to play with!! You will try EVERY pair on numerous times (and ALWAYS put them on the wrong foot) and take them off, put another pair on, take them off, etc. , etc. , etc.!!! You absolutely wear me out with your shoe obsession!! It is really something serious! I told your daddy you LOVE you some shoes like your momma so get that pocketbook ready!!! :))

First of all...HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY & HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!!

I know I haven't posted anything since May 30th, but that's NOT because I haven't tried!! My internet has been acting up terribly and every time I tried it would say "web server failure"..UGHHHHH so annoying!! But now maybe my husband got it fixed and I can keep up with my posting!! :)

So instead of trying to catch up on EVERY little thing that has happened over the past month, I am just gonna post a few pics of things that has taken place...

This is just a beautiful picture of the delta sunset I captured the other night while riding on the ranger...

This is an old piece of furniture my parents gave us...We gave it a nice little makeover...

And after 5 cans of soft ivory spray paint...an antiquing job done with Miniwax gel stains (walnut)...and 3 light coats of semi-gloss polyurethane...

Last weekend we spent at the river with Kevin's family. We had his dad a little surprise birthday party at The Veranda in Starkville, Ms. It was so yummy! I highly recommend you eating there if you haven't already! I unfortunately did not get any pictures. :(

So this peaceful picture taken at Kevin's parents house from the back yard on the deck will have to do...It was such a pretty peaceful morning on the river.

Kevin had to head back home for work on Monday, so Keely and I went to my parents house to stay through Tuesday. When we got there we got a visit from Aunt Nee Nee and cousin Sarah Bentley!...

They just hugged and loved on one another..it was SO sweet and cute!!!

Ok, this picture is from a couple of weekends back...Me, my sister, and our kiddos all went to Jackson for the day. It was an adventure with these 3 for sure, hahah!

Like I said..this was just an attempt to "catch up"...it would take entirely too long to post alllllll the pics I have taken over the past month!!

I hope you all are having a Happy 4th of July today with your family and friends!! Kevin, Keely, and I are just here by ourselves today hanging out and relaxing together. It has been SO nice! Kevin grilled us a steak for lunch and I made baked potatoes and a yummy salad to go with them. We then made Homeade Vanilla Ice-Cream!! It was delish!! Now I feel like I need to go walk 10 miles!!! :)

And just because...I LOVE this little face...such a dirty-flushed red face, wild-haired little princess!!!!

And as I was cleaning up the kitchen after lunch, Keely got realllllll quiet in her room...we went in there to check on her and found this!!!....

Clothes EVERYWHERE!! She said "skirt momma, skirt"!! Just a trying on all her clothes!

What a little mess!!!---but a SWEET one!!

Hot Springs, Arkansas

Kevin & I celebrated our 5 year Anniversary together this weekend in Hot Springs, Arkansas!! We had a somewhat relaxing, fun-filled weekend!!

We left early Friday morning...

And arrived in Hot Springs around 10:30 a.m

We enjoyed the downtown area majority of the day...

They had pretty fountains everywhere...

After Kevin suffered through all the shopping around with me...I then agreed to let him go here and walk/look around...He loves him some nature!! ;)...

As you can probably tell..most of our pics together were taken by US...

Until some man came walking by..and I said "Excuse me..will you take a picture of us?"

We did get some pictures of the hot springs here and there...

Kevin was so TIRED of me taking pictures, hahah..but I kept making him! :)

And after that came THE FUDGE FACTORY!! Yipppeee....

I was in Heaven in this place....Decisions, decisions!!!...

I did not get a picture unfortunately..but for lunch we ate at a cute little place called "The Purple Cow"! It was SO yummy and they had purple milkshakes and other neat goodies! It was a fun place to eat and I recommend it if you are ever in Hot Springs!! :)

Friday night we went and ate dinner together at a nice little grill in the downtown area...(I forgot the name of it!)

Saturday morning we got up and dressed to head to Magic Springs/Crystal Falls Theme/Water Park!!!

Off we go...

And just because..I wanna share that on the way to the park, we passed this sidewalk sale where I spotted from the road these mirrors. I asked Kevin to turn around and let me go check out them mirrors!! So we did and I am SO glad we did!! The man was also selling this antique table for $18...I asked him would he take $15 and he said "Sure"! So I snatched it up and then asked him how much the mirrors were...he said $25 for the set...BUT since you are buying the table I will give you them for $15 for the set." I was like, SOLD!! I have big plans to paint and fix up these old pieces...I can't wait to get started on them!! I will definitely post pics for you all to see when I complete them!!! :)

At Magic Springs...

I am NOT a roller coaster kind of girl, BUT kevin somehow talked me into 2 of them!! This was one of them.......The Gauntlet...and I will NOT EVER RIDE IT AGAIN!!!!

I was SO sickly feeling when I got off...this is what I looked like and felt like...

This is a picture in front of the X Coaster that Kevin rode by himself as I sure wasn't gonna ride it!!...

The Arkansas Twister...before taking off...I enjoy the coasters that DON'T go upside down...

And after a long day of riding rides and having fun...it was Easton Corbin Concert time!!! This was happening at Magic Springs...

Kevin won us these front row tickets!! YAY! Well, it was really the 16th row, but it was in the front section which was good enough!!! I was SO excited!! :)

The bad thing about it was that we looked a hot mess from riding the rides all day long and getting wet, but couldn't leave and come back so we were in our same clothes looking a mess!! Oh well...everyone else was too for the most part!!

We had SO much fun together celebrating our 5 wonderful years of marriage!!! We are so very thankful for that and pray the Lord blesses us with many, many more!!!

Sunday Lunch Disaster

Our little Keely has been sick basically for the last 3 weeks! :( It started out with a bacterial infection in her throat. So we got her on an antibiotic and got all better...until we went back to daycare and picked up something else!! Ahhhhhhh....!! So we took her back to the Dr. to find out this time it was a viral infection. So now we are on a new medicine and cough syrup (as her cough sounds HORRIBLE) and hopefully will be back 100% SOON! I hate to see her sick! :(

This is some pics of her at the Dr. She is very similar to a wild indian once we get in the room...she climbs back and forth from the table to the chairs all while tearing the paper on the bed and makin this mommy a nervous wreck!! It is not easy keeping her satisfied in a Dr.'s office for a long period of time..AT ALL!!

Like I said, hopefully we will be all better and back to 100% soon!!!

Now...onto the story that reflects the title of this post.

Our Sunday morning started off good...we got up, ate breakfast, watched a little T.V, then got baths, dressed and ready to head to church!!

Got to church....Kevin and I had nursery duty today with Keely's class. It went good, we enjoy (for the most part) doing nursery duty and playing with all the other kiddos. Did see today how jealous my little Keely is of me holding and playing with other babies, tho!! She eventually got over it and played with the other kids and even shared her peek-a-boo baby with them. ;)

So, after church comes lunch time. We decide we are gonna go to The Crystal Grille. Get there...it is busy as usual, but we have never had a problem so we proceed on in, get us a table, start munchin on some crackers.....waited about 15 minutes..finally got our salads...JUST in time for Keely to decide she did NOT wanna be there and did NOT wanna cooperate!!!!! Ugh. So she starts crying...

Kevin leans in to tell her to "be quiet and be sweet or we are going to the truck." So, Keely gets louder!! So he gets up, grabs her and off to the truck they go. (Mind you there are TONS of people in this restaurant and ALL staring at us while disciplining our child. )

I continue on with my salad...they come back about 5 minutes later...Kevin says "OK, now sit in your chair and be sweet." Puts her in her chair all for her to start crying again!! And she was getting Louder, and LOUDER......So he grabs her up again and walks out. By this time I am pretty embarrassed that my child is acting so ugly! EVERYONE is staring to see what all the drama is about at our table. I have completely lost my appetitie at this point and was pretty much just ready to GO! Well, here comes Kevin and Keely walking back to the table while the waiter is placing our food on the table. Kevin this time just holds her in his lap just trying to keep peace, eat our lunch, and be thru. NOOO...she starts crying again, throwing crackers, pushing the food out of the way, etc.!! OH boy...the looks are really comin at this point..and well, I quite frankly was ready to crawl under the table and die. OMG. So Kevin looks at me and says "Laura, just get our food to go and we will see you at the truck." What??? You are leaving me in here, with ALL these people staring at me, with ALL our uneaten food sitting on the table?!?! And want me to ask for to go plates?!?

Yeah, so he and our bad child headed to the truck for the 3rd time!! I tried to sit there cool, calm, and collectively waiting on our waiter to come back by.....He finally comes around the corner and I say "um, sir...can you please bring us to go plates for all of this?...our child is not cooperating today and we are gonna have to leave." He says, "Sure." Well, I waited 3 looonnnngggg minutes for him to bring the plates. I then transferred all our food into the to go plates, grabbed my purse, and walked out with my head down!! Can you say MORTIFIED!! Yes, that was me!

Got to the truck, and Kevin and I was telling Keely what a bad girl she had been and that we do NOT act that way. And that we had to leave the restaurant all because of how ugly she was acting! Did she understand it all? I have no idea...probably some of it, but doubt all of it.

Kevin and I are strong believers in keeping to our word on the way we discipline Keely and when she is told to stop and be sweet or we are going to the truck...she best be sweet or she is off to the truck for a spankin. Just as it happened today. We believe instead of allowing our child to cry/scream and get her way...to give her ONE chance to straighten her act up or ELSE. And today, Keely chose the ELSE!! And she got it!

And we believe consistency in this is the only way she will learn to do right and make the right choices. This is NOT going to be easy at alllllllllll!!!! But we believe if we love her enough, we will do it..for HER!

This was our first experience with her acting this way in public...it was very embarrasing for both of us, but we do believe we did what was right. Oh, the 2's are definitely upon us!! I can see it is gonna be a rough road, and one that we will definitely need the Lord's strength and guidance to get us thru. I could'nt help but keep thinking of this verse when we left...

Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

Hope we can always live by this in raising our precious Keely. Kevin was telling me on the way home that as he was walking out of the restaurant today with Keely that he ran into our music minister and he reminded Kevin that it would'nt be like this for long. And that is SO true! This is just a stage that will be over in a glimpse! I just hope I can make it and don't die of embarrasment first, hahahaha!! :)

Mother's Day

I had a great 2nd Mother's Day!! My little Keely has grown SO much and has gained SO MUCH PERSONALITY since my 1st Mother's Day! ;) Last year was probably a little more relaxing than this year as she keeps me on my toes for sure!! haha! We went home for Mother's Day weekend to spend time with our Mom's and family. I didn't do to well taking pictures this weekend unfortunately, but I got a few so I will share them...

We went to church together on Sunday and came home for lunch...And our Men spoiled us BIG time! It was great! They grilled us a steak, made baked potatoes, and a fresh garden salad..and topped it off with a yummy Chocolate cake (from Kroger's...our Favorite!!). They served us just as if we were at a restaurant somewhere!;) It was really nice and really yummy!! We will have alot of makin' up to to do for Father's Day!

HAPPY 20 MONTHS MY PRECIOUS KEELY BUG!!!!

I cannot believe you are 20 months old today!! Seems like last week you just turned 2 months old!:( Everyone told me that you would grow up on me SO fast and be a big girl before I knew it...And I am now seeing it is SO true!! :(
You bring me so much joy and happiness. You keep me on my toes, but I would not trade that for the world! I am just so thankful and blessed you are a healthy little girl who can run around wild and keep me on my toes. I just put you to bed as daddy or I do every night and you are so sweet..you LOVE your bed and all your bed time buddies. You get so excited to get into your bed! Some nights you do scream/cry like you may be having a nightmare or that you may be experiencing some pain. It make us so sad cause you can't yet tell us what is wrong and if you are hurting somewhere. Here lately when you've done that it's our guess that it's your teeth coming in or you are experiencing a little heartburn or acid reflux (that you unfortunately inherited from mommy). Overall, most nights though you sleep so soundly in your bed. I love to stand over your crib and watch you sleep. You are mommy's little angel forever and I am SO very thankful for you! Daddy and I give thanks for you all of the time!

I look forward to the day when you really do understand what prayer is and coming to know sweet Jesus. We always pray the Lord watch over you, keep you safe, and grow you into a child of God. What a sweet day that will be!!

Ok, ONE week from today my family and I are going on a Cruise!!! YIPPEE! I'm so excited and so ready for it to be here!!! However, being one week away I am suppossed to be totally dieting and today I really BLEW it!! :-/ I had a major CUPCAKE craving!! So what did I do...baked Devils Food Cupcakes with homemade butter cream icing! mmmmm good! :)

Quick Caramel Coffee Ring

I am linking up with Lyndsie on "Monday's Meals" to share one of my new favorite recipes!! It is called the Quick Caramel Coffee Ring...it is very similar to monkey bread! So YUMMY and so EASY! I am not "the cook" and never have been, so I am all about easy, yum recipes like this. I have made this for both my mom and my sister when they have come to visit. And then yesterday morning I made it for my husband and keely before church! It was a hit with them too! :)

Quick Caramel Coffee Ring:

You will need:

1 stick butter

2/3 cup chopped pecans

1 cup brown sugar

2 cans Grands Jr. Honey Butter Biscuits

2 T water

Pre-heat the oven to 375. Coat a bundt pan with butter or Pam. Sprinkle 2 T of the chopped pecans into the bottom of the pan. Take one can of biscuits, tear each one in half, and roll in ball. ( optional: roll the balls into a mixture of cinnamon and sugar...or you can leave them plain) Drop them evenly in the bottom of the bundt pan. Melt butter in sauce pan. Add brown sugar, water, and pecans and bring to a boil. Once you have a good boil, remove from heat and pour half of the mixture over the first layer of biscuits. Repeat the rolling of the biscuits with the second can and then pour the remaining mixture over the second layer of biscuits. Bake at 375 for 20 minutes or until golden! Dump onto a platter and you are set! This is delicious!!! I promise it will be a family/company/crowd pleaser and it is so easy:)!!! Enjoy! =)

Welp, another month with our sweet girl has flown by!!! She is now 19 Months Old!!! Not too much longer and we will be planning her 2 year old birthday party!! Wow...I feel like I just finished up with her 1 year bash!!!

Miss Keely is just growing and getting so lean and tall!! I think she may just pass me up one day in height. She is learning something new it seems everyday! Still loves her JUICE and SHOES, but now she is big on Bracelets too! Loves to wear her teething ring as a bracelet! Oh boy, she is gettin to be a big mess! As you see in this picture, she thought she had to wear her bracelet (teething ring) to church...

I love these pictures of her too...Her hair is getting so long!! And we have been putting it in "big girl" ponytails...I just love it, but it amazes me how it changes her whole look!! She definitely looks so much older with her hair like this!!!

18 Months & Beautiful Weather Weekend

Our little Keely bug is 18 months old now!!! :( Where oh where has the time gone?!! Her 18 month bday was on February 18th, so that morning I just had to snap a few pictures of her before going to daycare...

On Saturday, Keely, Kevin, and I took a little trip to Southaven to do a little shopping, eating, and just have a family fun day together! Me with my bug...

Always, always messing with her shoes...taking them on and off, on and off, and saying SHOES about 100 times while doing it!! haha..what a mess!! Keely is gonna be just like her mommy I do believe and LOVE some SHOES!!!!...

We ate lunch at O'Charleys...Keely sipping on her JUICE...this is another word she says ALL the time!! Always wanting some JUICE!! Loves her JUICE!!...By the way..anything that is in her cup, whether it be milk, tea, water, etc..is always JUICE to her!...

And Sunday afternoon after church we came home and played outside in this beautiful 75 degree weather!! It was so nice!! We went riding on the Ranger, Boat Riding in the break, Fed the Ducks, and then came back and let Keely ride her car, and just roam everywhere..which she LOVED!! :)

She decided she wanted to push the car around instead of ride in it!!...

Keely's new chapter...

Yesterday was Keely's 1st day at her new daycare!! This is a picture I got of her on our way...:) She was in a really good mood thankfully!! ha! Ever since I went back to work after my maternity leave she has stayed here at home with a lady/close family friend. It has been so wonderful and such a blessing not to have to put her in a daycare being an infant and catching ALL the sicknesses being so little. But now as our little Keely bug is going on 17 months old, we decided it was time to put her in a daycare setting so that she can start interacting more with other children, learning to share, and etc. We have been praying for a while that the Lord would open the door and show us where he would have Keely. Where we live, there is not just a whole lot of options! But there were 2 options that we were considering, but both of which were not available. BUT the Lord worked it out!! And with one phonecall it was set!! Her name is Mrs Sue Lott...and she keeps about 7 or 8 kids in her home. One of my dear friends little girl goes to her and she is who told us about Mrs. Sue. So anyways, Keely started yesterday! She did GREAT!! I was a little nervous of course of how she would do..being in a new place, with new people! But I will say too, Keely loves other children! She always gets excited and laughs at them. (especially her cousins Riley & Dylan). So when we got there yesterday morning, Keely just looked around at everything and all the other little kids just as serious as could be!! haha! I put her down so she could walk around and just to see what she would do...and, well..she started following around the other 2 little girls that are right there in age with her. (1 is 16 months old and 1 is 19 months old) She started playing with them and did not cry not one time!! I was so proud!! I did not want to leave my baby girl crying for sure, so it made my heart smile to see her being so content!! And Mrs Sue and I finished up our conversation and I was out the door. I called back to check on her around lunch, and she was still doing GREAT!! Just playing and having a good time with her new friends! :) She ate a good lunch ( which also makes me happy that she is now getting home cooked meals for lunch!), and she took a good long 3 hour nap too! So our little angel had a great 1st day at her new daycare!! And might I add...that afternoon when I went to pick her up..she was SO happy to see me!! She came running up to me with her arms up in the air ready for me to pick her up!! It melted my heart!!

SO,,,that was yesterday morning! This morning on the other hand she knew what I was doing when I took her inside Mrs Sue's house! She started clinging on to me ever so tightly! I knelt down with her to see if she would go play with her friends, and she started to cry a little..like..no, mommy..you not gonna leave me today!! So then Mrs Sue took her to "show" her something and she was fine!! And I called to check on her again about 15 minutes ago, and Mrs Sue said she is doing GREAT! Just playing away with her friends and was about to eat her lunch!! :)

I definitely think Mrs Sue is gonna be wonderful!! I am so very thankful the Lord has opened this door for us and this new chapter for our Keely bug!! I think she is gonna just LOVE having little friends her age to play with, learn with, and grow with everyday!!:)

SNOW

We were SO excited to wake up to 3 inches of snow this morning!!! It was so beautiful! We got up, ate breakfast, got all layered up and headed outside to play in the snow!! :) This was Keely's first time to ever see snow. She was unsure of it at first as she just stood in one spot for the longest time and just stared at it! :) And then she started picking it up and eating it. Even though we just put layers upon layers of clothes on her with what we had...I thought she turned out to be a precious little snow bunny!! ;)

HappY NeW YeaR

Hope you all had a wonderful New Years!! We had a sick baby girl who had a bacterial infection in her throat. :( She has been running fever with it since New Years Eve and we are still running the fever off and on! It has been NO fun at all and very scary at times! We are on an antibiotic now and this is our 3rd day to be on it, so hopefully we will be over this soon!! Her fever got so high New Years Eve night (103.5) that it must have soured her stomach and made her throw up. :( It was awful seeing my baby so sick!! This was her very first time to throw up, and I know she just didn't understand what was going on. SO sad :( I wish I could have just taken it from her. But I know she is gonna get sick...it's just how it goes, but it makes me one sad mommy. Anyways I think we are on the mends and feeling lots better, we just have got to get rid of this fever for good!!

Yesterday, I took a few pictures of her in her new Pj's and boots she got from Nonnie & Poppie for Christmas. She looked TOO Cute!! Of course I'm partial and she looks TOO Cute in absolutely anything she is wearing!! ;)

Finally, here are the pictures from our Christmases!! We had such a wonderful Christmas and were blessed beyond measure!! We started out here at our house and had Christmas together with just the 3 of us. Santa made a special visit this year to our house on Christmas Eve Eve as he knew Keely was not gonna be here Christmas Eve night. ;) So Christmas Eve morning we got up to see what Santa brought Keely and then let her open her presents from daddy and I. We played a while and then got ready to hit the road to Alabama to spend Christmas Eve night and Christmas Morning with Gammy, Pop, Aunt Heather, and cousins Tucker and Sadie Grace. We had fun and all got some great Christmas presents! We then left from there around lunch and headed to Christmas at my parents house in Columbus! We got to spend the day with Nonnie, Poppie, Uncle David, Aunt Angie, and cousins Riley and Dylan!! Man did Nonnie & Poppie spoil us ALL!! We had such a wonderful Christmas and had SO much fun spending it with our Families!! And most importantly celebrating Jesus' birthday!! :)

I just wanted to make a post on some of the little things our sweet Keely is doing these days. She just amazes me because things that I don't think she understands...she definitely does! For instance I have been talking to her about Santa Claus and Christmas, and the other day I tell her Santa Claus is coming next week and she says "Ho Ho Ho" just as clear as day!! And it just surprised me that she indeed puts things together and must store them in the back of her precious little brain! :) Other things she has been doing is I will ask her where her belly button is and she will raise her shirt and show you. Another is in the bathtub she has a bottle of shampoo that has a little bear on it. And I will ask her where is that bear?! And she will point to it and say "BEA"...without the R on the end.;) She also has a rubber ducky that goes over the spout and she will point to it and say DU" without the CK, but still the whole point is she knows!! I mean she is 16 months old now, so I guess it is time for her to start doing these things, but it still just amazes me! And makes me smile :)) Another thing she does...I will ask her if she is ready to eat lunch/supper. She will run to her high chair and start to pull on her clothes trying to take them off! I usually always take her top off to eat, especially when it's something messy like spaghetti or something. And so now she starts attempting to take her own clothes off when I ask her if she's ready to eat!! ;) Note I do this because she will NOT wear a bib!! She hates them and will pull it off instantly!!

And just because, I will share what the stinker did last night. Around 12:30 or so she wakes me up as I hear her playing in her crib with her little jingle bear she sleeps with. And then around 1:00 she starts crying like I'm up, come get me!! So I go and pop her paci back in and lay her back down and say "night night". Well that lasted for about 3 minutes and she started crying again. Note I know her cries, and this cry was just one of those come get me cries. Nothing was wrong. Also note, we have guest here downstairs that I didnt want her to wake up so I tell Kevin I am just gonna put her in bed with us. So I go get her and put her in the bed with us. Well, she is ready to play!! yes 1:30 in the morning!! I'm like you have got to be kiddin' me!!! Child! And Kevin and I are both saying "Keely..NO NO, lay down and go night night!! Well she then starts beating on the headboard and laughing out loud! And then she starts grabbing Kevin's nose and pulling on it!! About this time she has done woke me up so that I am just watching her and about to bust out laughing myself!! But I contained myself cause I didn't want her to think that this is a FUN thing to do at 1:30 in the morning!! So I finally just rolled over and started ignoring her hoping she would go back to sleep. NOPE, she started standing up in the bed and talking and just wide awake! Well, Kevin says ok I'm going to get Mr. Spoon!! (For those of you who don't know who Mr.Spoon is...he is a wooden spoon that has a sad face and he is what we use to spank her bottom with instead of using our hands. Our hands are made for Love, not to hurt or discipline with. So we just always use Mr Spoon...and she KNOWS Mr Spoon!!!:/) So as he was gone to get Mr Spoon, I said "Keely, you better lay down and go night night cause daddy is going to get Mr Spoon! Well, she did!! She laid down and just started talking to herself and playing with my hair (which I LOVE) until I guess she finally fell asleep. Oh, but she was back awake at 6:45 this morning ready to go again!!! What a mess she is!! But a sweet mess!! These are the precious little memories that I will hold on to forever even though they make me ill at the time!! ;)) I wouldn't change it for anything!!

This is a picture of me with my sweet girl on my BirthdaY!! (12-04-10) She and daddy were taking me out for lunch and to do a little shopping!! We had a fun day together! That afternoon when we arrived home...I opened the door to my house to find my mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law, niece, and nephew standing in my living room holding a birthday banner and singing Happy Birthday to me!!! They had planned me a little surprise birthday party!! They got me good!! It was a very Fun day and night!! I am so thankful for such Wonderful family!!! Thank you my precious husband and family for doing this for me!! Love you all!!! :)

Wow, has it really been 9 months since I have blogged?!!? Time does fly!! I really am upset with myself that I have let it go!! I wanted to keep this up so that Keely one day can read everything that went on with mommy & daddy and her too!!! So, I am going to do better!! I don't think I can possibly play catch up after 9 months, but I will try to post the main events with pics that have taken place. Let me just say that our little angel is gonna be 16 months old on the 18th of December. That is so crazy to me!! I feel like I just gave birth to her a month ago or so!! Seriously time flies these days! She is such a joy to have around. I am not sure what Kevin and I ever did without her in our lives. She keeps us so busy, but we would not have it any other way!! We just look at her all the time and say out loud, "Thank you Jesus for such a precious, healthy baby girl." We could'nt ask for more.

This was on Easter...Keely is 8 months old here. She was being silly here blowing bubbles with her saliva which she loved to do at that age! haha!
